A novel electronic circuit bursting neuron model is designed based on the concept of ergodic sequential logic (ESL) neuromorphic circuit. It is shown that the ESL bursting neuron model can reproduce a typical bursting phenomenon of an ordinary differential equation neuron model known as the Hindmarsh-Rose (HR) neuron model. Possible applications of the ESL bursting neuron model such as in neural prosthetic device is also discussed. © 2025 IEEE.
