Application Abstract: Development of Mobile-phone with Android Telecare Gateway for Context-Aware Wheelchair Inconvenient activity patients belong to the weak population;they need more cares in their life.In the past,an inconvenient activity patient needed a companion to care his life, not only invested a lot of manpower and resources, but also limited the moving space of patients for inconvenient activity and safety concern. Therefore, this study proposes a design and development of Mobile-phone with Android Telecare Gateway for Context-Aware Wheelchair. We apply the Open Source Android development platform to develop Mobile-phone with intelligent design concepts. An Android Mobile-phone will use Bluetooth transmission to send the physiological signal of patients(like the heart rate,SpO2,blood pressure etc.)to server by GPRS/GSM.So,a companion can understand the patient’s instant situation by the images of Android Mobile-phone and give a hand when needs. Moreover, using some unsophisticated physical therapy in wheelchair,a patient can prevent muscular dystrophy and strengthen cardiopulmonary function. The companion can look at the patient’s physical therapy situation at any moment, and can care more than one patient at a time. Not only the institution can save the manpower resources, but also the patients can get larger safety life space and better cares.
