项目标书摘要:Research Summary:With the emphasis on the recovery paradigm in the mental health,development of programs reflecting recovery values is in demand.The purpose of this study is to develop a recovery program for people with psychiatric disabilities and to test its effectiveness.Program development involved a literature review,analysis of previous programs,and consulting with experts as well as the people with psychiatric disabilities.The program consisted of six sessions—hope,meaning,identity,connectedness,empowerment,and self-management.Characteristics of this program include incorporating recovery values in the operation of the entire program,forming each session with the process of comprehension-implementation-action plan,using terminology and cases easily understandable to the participants,connecting the individual and societal aspects of recovery.The developed program was offered to ten participants in a psychiatric rehabilitation facility,and its effectiveness on recovery,hope,and symptoms was tested against control group.Results showed a statistically significant effect for self-empowerment,advocacy which are subdomains of recovery,and hope.Based on these results,discussion and suggestions are provided for extension of recovery programs in the future.
