Application Abstract: Although statistical energy analysis(SEA)is a suitable framework for predicting vibro-acoustic response,it has been found that when excited acoustically, conventional SEA does not predict the non-resonant response of structure. When the non-resonant structural response was as significant as the resonant response,it can lead large error by using conventional SEA prediction.Recently, our study indicates that the non-resonant response component should be included in the estimated responses to enhance predictive accuracy[17-19].In this project, study is focused on the modeling of non-resonant energy transfer between acoustic field and stiffened plate.A modified SEA model is introduced to predict the non-resonant and resonant response for several kinds of stiffened plate. The estimated non-resonant and resonant responses are then compared with those obtained experimentally.Once the Modified SEA model has been established and verified, the modeling procedure can be used to enhance predictive accuracy.
